You must chose between this list of mid-size sedans, which one will be your only car for an indeterminate amount of time. You can’t upgrade the cars on the list to a higher trim, but you can downgrade them (say for a manual transmission.)
Your choices are...
2016 Toyota Camery SE
2016 Ford Fusion SE
2016 Kia Optima EX
2016 Honda Accord EX (4cyl, NO V6!)

Accord. But if we were doing ‘17 MY, the Fusion would win.

Camry. Will keep running indefinitely.

Camry. Because even if the rest of my life falls apart my car won’t. That’s a big thing.
My daily driver is a 2012 Camry SE because I had a series of lemons and I needed to break the cycle.

I’d have to see the Kia, I’m unfamiliar. But I drive a civic ex right now, and it’s enjoyable with a manual, but it is not a pretty trim level compared to anything higher on the Honda pecking order.

O_O Th....Th......Th.....The Hondabro?

Ford Fusion, because I like the grille.
Then I’d rip all the doors off, hack out the wheelarches, fit big knobbly offroad tyres and go driving on offroad trails :)
Technically all of those things make it a worse car on the road, so I’m ok ;)

The Accord is the only one available with a manual, so I would begrudgingly choose the Honda.

Toyota > Honda

Toyota is just the superior vehicle.

Yes, I chose all the options.

Kia.

I’ve owned a base Accord. It was pretty ugh. Can I pick a base Impala? They’re much more comfy than an Accord or Camry.

Accord, because manual.

That’s a full size.

Highest spec Optima. Friend has one and the only repairs she’s ever had to have are new brakes...at 110k miles.
But my real choice would be a Leggy.

Can’t build the 16 fusion anymore, fyi

Kia bared almost entirely on looks. That’s said I’d more likely get Accord wife I don’t have a Kia dealership in my town. Ever liked the idea of buying new and havin to drive an hour to get warranty work done.

The Fusion. Any of these will be a perfectly good car. The Fusion is the only one that’s pretty.

Fusion 2.0 AWD with luxury package and moonroof, hold the beeping thingies. Most annoying thing.

Fusion, duh
![]() 11/26/2016 at 09:03 |

Might as well stick with an Optima, since that’s what I already drive.

Worth noting that both the Fusion and the Camry are available with hybrid powertrains, and the Fusion, a PHEV powertrain, in the SE trim level. And, you didn’t prohibit those.
Problem with the Fusion is that it has the small greenhouse problem that many modern cars have. But, it does have a PHEV option...
The other option is manual Accord, of course.

Easy. Ford Fusion SE with the 2.0L EcoBoost.

I thought you had to stick with the 1.5T, but apparently not. This would be my choice as well, with all the cold weather goodies.
![]() 11/26/2016 at 10:19 |

That’s what I thought since the 1.5 is included, but it didn’t correct it or the AWD.
Maybe a loophole.

Well... I think I’d pick a Fusion SE 2.0L EcoBoost with the SE appearance package, moonroof, and MyFordTouch. Because that’s what we (my parents with my help) actually picked in real life.
The Fusion is definitely the least bland in the driving department by a good margin IMO. Ours did have some annoying quality control stuff initially though.

I’m torn between the Camry and the Accord, but I’d probably take the Accord in order to be able to get a manual transmission.
